Adding/Updating/Deleting a Loan Payment

You can access the Loan Payment page to add, modify, or delete a loan payment. No loan information viewable by the public or another Candidate or Committee until a report is filed.

Tasks

Click the loans tab.

The Loan Administration page is displayed.

Perform one of the following:

Add a loan payment...

In the Loan History section, click the payment link in the data grid for the loan to which you want to add a payment.

The Loan Payment page is displayed.

Add or modify a loan payment...

Click the update link for the loan for which you want to add or modify a payment.

The Loan Update page is displayed.

In the Loan Payments section, perform one of the following:

Add a loan payment...	Click the add payment button.
Modify a loan payment...	Click the update link in the data grid for the loan payment you want to modify.

The Loan Payment page is displayed.

Delete a loan payment...

Click the update link for the loan for which you want to remove a payment.

The Loan Update page is displayed.

In the Loan Payments section, click the delete link in the data grid for the loan payment you want to remove.

A confirmation dialog box is displayed.

Click the ok button.

The confirmation dialog box is closed and the loan payment is removed. If you already filed this loan payment on a report, you will create an offset record and have the option of filing an amended report.

Note: Required fields are indicated by an asterisk * to the right of the label and must be completed.

Type the date payment was made toward the loan in the date of payment field.

Select how the loan payment was made from the payment type drop-down list box.

Type the dollar amount of the loan payment that went toward the principal balance in the amount paid - principal field.

Type the dollar amount of the loan payment that went toward interest in the amount paid - interest field.

If this is the last payment for this loan and there is no further obligation or unpaid balance on this loan, select the check here... check box.

Click the save button to save the loan payment.
