Requesting a Waiver

 

1. If the Candidate Committee Overview page isn't already displayed, click the overview tab.

 

The Candidate/Committee Overview page is displayed.

 

2. In the Penalties and Waivers section, click the edit link in the data grid for the waiver you want to modify.

 

The Waiver Request page is displayed.

 

 

1. Perform the steps for Viewing a Candidate or Committee.

 

The Committee Overview page is displayed.

 

2. In the Penalties and Waivers section, perform one of the following:

 

To...	Then...
Request a waiver for an imposed penalty...	Click the request waiver link in the data grid for the penalty for which you want to request a waiver.
Request a waiver for a penalty that has not yet been assigned or doesn't appear in the Penalties and Waivers section...	Click the add waiver request button. Do not click the add waiver request button unless the penalty you want to request a waiver for isn't listed in the Penalties and Waivers data grid.
Modify a waiver request...	Click the edit link in the data grid for the waiver you want to modify.

 

The Waiver Request page is displayed.

 

Note: Required fields are indicated by an asterisk * to the right of the label and must be completed.

 

1. Type the additional information regarding the waiver request in the add to request reason field. If the waiver request is in a decision pending status, you cannot add additional information.

 

2. Click the save button to save your changes. To close the page without saving your changes, click the cancel button.

1. If you are requesting a new waiver instead of selecting a specific penalty, type the due date of the report associated to this waiver request in the due date of report that is related to this request field.

 

2. Type the date the waiver was requested in the waiver request date field.

 

3. Type the reason for the waiver request in the request reason field.

 

4. Type administrative recommendations in the administrator recommendations field. This field is viewable by Administrators only.

 

5. Click the save button to save your changes. To close the page without saving your changes, click the cancel button.

 

6. If you are an Administrator, type the text you want to print on the waiver decision letter generated by the system in the decision text to be printed in letter field.

 

7. Click the save button to save your changes.

 

8. Perform one of the following:

 

To...	Then...
View the associated penalty...	Click the go to penalty button.
Generate a letter to send to the Candidate or Committee...	Click the appropriate link near the bottom of the page.   The letter is displayed on the Report Viewer page.   Perform the steps for Using Report Viewer.
Return to the previous page...	Click the return button.
