You can access the Candidate/Committee Administration page to view and modify a Candidate, Committee, Officer, filing schedule, or event. You can also associate an EDI Vendor to a Candidate or Committee. Some events are automatically added by the system.
To access the Candidate/Committee Administration page:
Click the administration tab.
If the Administration tab isn't visible in the menu bar, perform the steps for Viewing a Candidate or Committee.
The Candidate Administration page is displayed.
To file a new affidavit or update an existing affidavit:

In the Candidate section, do one of the following:
To file a new affidavit, click the file new affidavit button.
To update an existing affidavit, click the update affidavit button.
The Notice of Candidate/Committee page is displayed.
Perform the steps for Adding/Amending a Registration.
To update a Candidate or Committee status:

In the Candidate section, click the update status button.
The Candidate/Committee fields are displayed in edit mode.
To edit the Candidate's or Committee's name, perform the following:
Click the edit button.
The Candidate/Committee name field is displayed in edit mode.
Type the Candidate's or Committee's name in the candidate/committee name field.
Select the Candidate's or Committee's status from the committee status drop-down list box.
If you are attempting to change a Committee's status to active and the Candidate associated to the Committee is also associated to another Committee with an active status, an error message is displayed.
Type the Committee's purpose in the committee purpose field.

Type the first line of the Candidate's or Committee's address in the address1 field.
Type the second line of the Candidate's or Committee's address in the address2 field.
Type the city that is part of the Candidate's or Committee's address in the city field.
Select the state that is part of the Candidate's or Committee's address from the state drop-down list box.
Type the ZIP code that is part of the Candidate's or Committee's address in the zip code field.
Type the Candidate's or Committee's email address in the email address field (e.g., jdoe@myprovider.com).
Type the Candidate's or Committee's primary area code and phone number in the area code and phone fields.
Type the Candidate's or Committee's daytime area code and phone number (if different from the primary phone number) in the day area code and day phone fields.
Type the Candidate's or Committee's fax area code and number in the fax area code and fax phone fields.
In the Mailing Address section, perform the following:
Type the first line of the Candidate's or Committee's mailing address in the mail address1 field.
Type the second line of the Candidate's or Committee's mailing address in the mail address2 field.
Type the city that is part of the Candidate's or Committee's mailing address in the mail city field.
Select the state that is part of the Candidate's or Committee's mailing address from the mail state drop-down list box.
Type the ZIP code that is part of the Candidate's or Committee's mailing address in the mail zip code field.
To update a Candidate or Committee email addresses:

In the Candidate/Committee section, click the update email button.
The Email Update page is displayed.
Perform the steps for Updating Email Addresses.
In the Candidate/Committee section, click the terminate button.
In the Confirmation dialog box, click the yes button.
To close the dialog box without terminating the candidacy, click the no button.
The candidate status is changed from Active to Terminated. To officially withdraw, you must submit a letter of withdrawal to the designated election official responsible for ballot certification.
Candidates without a committee need to disclose any unreported expenditures by filing a disclosure report. Candidates cannot Terminate if they have pending expenditures and/or un-filed disclosure reports.
Candidates with a committee can terminate their candidacy but this action does not terminate the committee. All committee reports are required until the committee files a termination report indicating a zero balance.
To associate a Candidate to a Committee:

In the Associated Candidate section, click the associate candidate button.
The Candidate Committee - Candidate Association page is displayed.
Perform the steps for Associating a Candidate to a Committee.

Click the disable link for the Officer you want to inactivate.
The Officer's status is changed from active to inactive. |
Perform the steps for Adding/Updating a Campaign.
To add or modify a filing schedule:

In the Filing Schedule section, perform the following:
To update Administrator notes:
In the Administrator Notes section, type a note and then click Update.

In the Event Log section, perform the following:

Click the add button. |

Modify an event... |
Click the edit link for the event you want to modify. |
The event log fields are displayed in edit mode.
Select the event's description from the event description drop-down list box.
Type the date the event occurs in the event date field.
Type the date the event is due in the due date field.
Type additional information regarding the event in the notes field.
If the event is no longer active, select the inactive check box.
If the event is still active, clear the inactive check box.
To associate a Candidate or Committee to an EDI vendor:

In the Vendor Users section, click the associate vendor button.
The Associate Vendor page is displayed.
To associate a Vendor to the Committee, perform the steps for Associating a Vendor to a Committee.
To cancel a Vendor association, click the disable link for the Vendor you want to disassociate.
The specified EDI Vendor's status is changed to inactive.
To import a file or view import history:
