Viewing Expenditure History

You can access the Expenditure Administration page to view expenditure history and access pages to add, modify, and search for an expenditure or modify a Payee. No expenditure information is viewable by the public or another Candidate or Committee until a report is filed. The CDOS is allowed to enter expenditures on behalf of a Candidate or Committee if the Candidate or Committee is not entering its own expenditures, or if the Candidate or Committee grants access to the CDOS to enter expenditures on its behalf.

Note:

In the Expenditure History section, the 10 most recent expenditures you entered are displayed. You must perform a search to find expenditures not in the 10 most recent list.
Required fields are indicated by an asterisk * to the right of the label and must be completed.

In the Expenditure History section, perform one of the following:

To...	Then...
Add an expenditure...	Click the add button. The Expenditure Entry page is displayed. Perform the steps for Adding/Updating an Expenditure.
Find an expenditure that isn't displayed in the 10 most recent list...	Click the find button. The Expenditure Find page is displayed. Perform the steps for Searching for an Expenditure.
Modify an expenditure that is displayed in the 10 most recent list...	Click the update link in the data grid for the expenditure you want to modify. The Expenditure Update page is displayed. Perform the steps for Adding/Updating an Expenditure.
Delete an expenditure that is displayed in the 10 most recent list...	Click the delete link in the data grid for the expenditure you want to remove. A message is displayed asking if you want to delete the expenditure. Click the yes button. The expenditure is removed. If the expenditure has been filed, an offset record is added for the next filing.
Return an expenditure that is displayed in the 10 most recent list...	Click the return link in the data grid for the expenditure you want to modify. The Expenditure Return page is displayed. Perform the steps for Returning an Expenditure.

In the Payee Maintenance section, perform the following to modify a Payee:

Update a Payee...	Click the update a payee link. The Contributor/Donor/Payee Update page is displayed. Perform the steps for Updating a Contributor/Donor or Payee.
View and merge duplicate Payee records...	Click the view and merge duplicate payees link. The Contributor/Donor/Payee Duplicates page is displayed. Perform the steps for Merging Duplicate Contributor/Donor or Payee Records.
Find duplicate expenditure records...	Click the find duplicate expenditures link. The Duplicate Expenditures page is displayed. Perform the steps for Searching for Duplicate Expenditures.
